“When I moved to Mississauga 10 years ago with my young family I found it difficult to find the information I needed regarding schools, programs and activities for our family to enjoy. I could not help but notice that other families who were relocating or starting their family were experiencing the same issues. Naturally, when I was approached about launching a kids guide for Mississauga the idea of making life just a little simpler for parents like myself was appealing.
At Mississauga Kids we help you find the things you need for the kids you love. We publish our Annual Directories in January of each year and they are distributed to over 121,000 homes in Mississauga. We also publish Seasonal Updates in the Spring and for the Back To School Season.”
At Azarbod, we have helped Mississauga Kids save time and money when its many clients submit their information to be listed in the annual directory. The main challenge was to to control user inputs and also create a pdf document out of the user input that can be sent directly to the printer with no manual modification. This was and extemely precise job as print shops require very accurate color coding for both backround and the text. The pdf file is created on the fly using TCPDF open source library.
Kurz Design is a graphic and web design company founded by Eugene Kurz. Eugene Kurz is a multifaceted graphic designer with a background in economics, business, music, political science and journalism. Since founding Kurz Design in 1997, Eugene has worked with dozens of clients to help make their projects shine by providing top-notch graphic design services and solutions.
Azarbod is helping Kurz Design in the areas of database application and programming. Specifically Azarbod has helped Kurz with the back-end programming for one of Kurz’s clients called Tennis Access who organizes tennis tournaments. Integrated to html code by Kurz Design, Azarbod’s parts allow user registration information to be inserted and managed in MySQL database, plus admin area where admin can view and export the member’s information.
